The thrill of an auction and a chance to support the Farmers Market on the Square!

Windy Hieatt, a student at Kentucky State University, will be conducting the most unique charity auction you've ever attended. Windy, a graduate student at KSU will be auctioning fresh Kentucky farm raised catfish fillets at FM2 on Saturday July 15, 2017 and all proceeds will be donated to support the Farmers Market on the Square.

Why, you might ask. The data collected during this important auction will be a large part of a research project she is conducting to determine consumers "willingness-to-pay" for locally produced catfish fillets.

Ultimately, the information may support a local farmer interested in aquaculture production and bring new business opportunities to our community.

Auctions will be held throughout the market day until supplies run out.

Farmers Market on the Square is open Saturdays 8am - 1pmCT and Wednesdays 1pm - 6pmCT on the corner of Campbellsville Street and Market Street, across from the Columbia City Hall and next door to the Judicial Center.

All proceeds from the auctions will be donated to the Farmers Market on the Square. We appreciate your participation and look forward to seeing you there!
