When the market opened, Tuesday, June 27, 2017, there were plenty of red, ripe-but-firm slicing tomatoes from D & D Longview Farms, located on the very fertile Jones Ridge Chapel Plateau above Gradyville, KY. David Burris of Portland, Adair County, KY, arrived at the Adair County Farmers with a load of freshly gathered sweet corn, ready as as crunchy fresh addition to salads, or for 58 second boiled corn on the cob, for the way many Adair Countians like it best, cut off the cob and fried.
