Judy J. Wilson, 72, Russell County, KY (1945-2017)

She was a certified nurse assistant and a member of Pine Grove United Baptist Church. She was a native of Russell County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Edwin & Zella Withers Owens. Her husband, Gary W. Wilson, survives. She leaves seven direct and nine step living descendants.

Judy J. Wilson, 72, of Russell Springs, died Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY.

Funeral service for Judy J. Wilson will br 3pmCT, Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Gosser officiating. Visitation will be 1pm-3pmCT, Saturday Interment in the Pine Grove Cemetery on Gosser Ridge Special music: Ricky Owens, Savannah Owens Pallbearers: Ricky Owens, Roger Thompson, Jessie Owens Wesley Thompson, Jeremy Stearns, Josh Owens


Judy J. Wilson, 72, Russell County, KY (1945-2017)


She was born March 20, 1945 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Edwin & Zella Withers Owens. She died Wednesday, June 21, 2017, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 72 years, three months, and one day.

She was a certified nurse assistant and a member of Pine Grove United Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Owens, and a sister-in-law, Mary Jo Owens. Survivors include:
  • Her husband: Gary R. Wilson, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two sons: Tony (Sandi) Lawson, Blanchard, OK; and Kim (Tonya) Lawson, Liberty, KY,

  • Two step children: Timothy Ray Wilson, Indianapolis, IN; and Lisa (Ron) Money, Greenwood, IN

  • Four grandchildren: Cody (Kayleigh) Lawson, Brian Lawson Kylee Lawson, Emily (Blaine) Bacon

  • One great grandchild: Alex Edwin Lawson

  • Five step grandchildren: Riley Wilson, Megan Wilson, Arianna Daniels, Samantha (Josh) Popplewell, and Tiffany Emerson

  • Two step great grandchildren: Roman & Dax
