LWC Softball ranked No. 15 in NAIA Postseason Coaches' Poll By Charles Balcom, Assistant SID Lindsey Wilson College, Columbia, KY COLUMBIA, KY - (Wed 07 Jun 2017) -The Lindsey Wilson softball team earned a No. 15 ranking in the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Postseason Poll, officials from the national office announced on Wednesday. The Blue Raiders collected a total of 283 voting points from the panel of national raters. Lindsey Wilson dropped nine spots from its previous ranking of No. 6 in the previous poll. The Blue Raiders wrapped up the 2017 season with a 39-13 record and a fifth-consecutive appearance in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round. National champion Oklahoma City holds the No. 1 position with 529 points. The Stars collected 529 points and all 19 first-place votes after winning the program's 10th overall softball national title and second in a row. National runner-up Corban (OR), who was the winner of the NAIA Opening Round Columbia, KY Bracket, is No. 2 in the poll with 505 points. LSU Alexandria is No. 3 with 488 total voting points. Oklahoma City leads all active schools with 128-straight mentions in the polls. William Carey (MS) is second with 91-straight mentions, followed by Lindsey Wilson with 52 mentions in a row.
