COLUMBIA, KY – (Fri 26 May 2017) - Alexia DeHaven-Boyd was selected to the 2017 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Women's Track & Field and Cross Country Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Thursday. DeHaven-Boyd is one of 10 student-athletes selected to District 2 in the College Division, which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and academically. The College Division consists of individuals from NAIA, Canadian and two-year institutions. The sophomore from Louisville, Kentucky has compiled a 3.41 grade point average on a 4.0 scale, while majoring in psychology.

This season, DeHaven-Boyd garnered MSC Athlete of the Year honors at the Mid-South Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships. She is slated to compete in the 400-meter hurdles at the NAIA National Championships this week. Honorees from the four All-District Teams advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team honorees will be selected.
