At 8:30amCT, this morning, Thursday, May 25, 2017, Stotts Construction, Inc.'s President, Junior Stotts announced that the new main from Antioch to the intersection of KY 704 & KY 768 had been pressured tested and that the water samples sent to Fouser Environmental had been returned, approved for drinking, and that the system was being turned over to the Columbia/Adair County Utilities District.

Lenny Stone, General Manager of CAUD, returned a call moments ago to report that the system is now in use, as of approximately 10:30amCT, this morning. Mr. Stone said that the work on the project had been completed in 29 working days, less than one third allowed under the contract.

Rain has prevented final clean up and resodding. But that work will take no more than 4-5 days when the ground is dry enough to do the work.

Mr. Stone said that he expects the bids for work on the Utility's next major project, Burkesville Street will be advertised in late July.
