She was a retired dining room supervisor at the Lake Cumberland State Park in Jamestown, KY. She was the daughter of the late Forest & Jewel (Loy) Lawless. She leaves 11 direct living descendants. She has deep family ties in Russell, Adair, Shelby, and Pulaski Counties of Kentucky.

Janet L. Polston, 81, of Russell Springs, KY passed away on Tuesday May 23,2017 at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral Services for Janet Polston will be at the Jamestown Church of the Nazarene, 132 S Main Street, Jamestown, KY at 10amCT, Friday, May 26, 2017. Friends may visit on Thursday, May 25, 2017, after 5pmCT, at the church. Burial will be in the Jack Lawless Cemetery in Jamestown, KY.



Janet L. Polston, 81, Russell Co., KY (1935-2017)

Janet was born in Jamestown, KY on July 10, 1935, a daughter of the late Forest & Jewel (Loy) Lawless. She died Tuesday, May 23, 2017, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 81 years, 10 months, and 13 days.

She was a retired dining room supervisor at the Lake Cumberland State Park in Jamestown, KY.

She is survived by:
  • Three sons: Gary Polston, of Jamestown, KY; Deron (Alicia) Polston, of Jamestown, KY; and Todd (Connie) Polston, of Russell Springs, KY

  • Brother: Jimmy Lawless, of Jamestown, KY

  • Three sisters: Jerry Moore, of Columbia, KY; Gladys Clonch, of Simpsonsville, KY; Debbie Wade, of Somerset, KY

  • Special friend: Anita Hisle, of Russell Springs, KY

  • Five grandchildren

  • And great grandchildren
She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister Betty Carnes, and one brother Jack Lawless.

Family request donations to the Kosairs Shriners of Louisville and can be made at the church.
