KSP investigating death of 12 year old Green Co., KY juvenile

COLUMBIA, KY. (Mon22 May 2017) - Kentucky State Police, Post 15 is investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 6pmCT on Busy Baker Road in Green County, KY.



Green County dispatch advised that a 12-year-old juvenile had been taken from a residence to Jane Todd Crawford Hospital with a single gunshot wound and later was pronounced dead.

The deceased had been playing with a 13-year-old juvenile in the basement of the residence when it was determined that a shot had been fired by what was believed to be a toy gun.

The investigation is ongoing and being conducted by Kentucky State Police Detective Josh Dicken.
