The Adair County High School Class of 2017 and parents were treated to a breakfast at the school this morning before the graduates donned their caps and gowns for a tour across campus, visiting ACMS, ACES, and ACPC for young students to witness the result of 13 years of academic progress.

Both Principal Troy Young and interim Supt. Dr. Pam Stephens spoke at the breakfast and offered congratulations to the seniors.

"This has been a great group of students to work with," Young says. "Today is the culmination of many years of work and we hope to see them continue that growth when they leave here. It's a bittersweet moment because we've watched these kids grow up right before our eyes."

With coursework completed and finals already taken, the seniors are finished at ACHS, save for next Friday night's commencement ceremony.

The entire district congratulates the Class of 2017 and looks forward to seeing the many great things this year's graduates are sure to accomplish. "It's our hope that we've prepared them to be a successful part of society, no matter what field they choose to go into," Young says. "We wish them the best."
