He was a member of a highly regarded family. He was the son of the late Hubert A. and Enola Gadberry Wilson. His wife, Barbara Wilson, survives. He leaves 12 direct living descendants

Ronald Wilson, 75, of Russell Springs, KY, died Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY.

Funeral service for Ronald Wilson will be 1pmCT, Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KYm with Bro. Michael Carnes officiating. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, Friday, May 19, 2017, and after 8amCT, Saturday. Interment in the Salem Cemetery. Special Music will be rendered by April Carnes. Honorary pallbearer will be Riley Bloyd. Active pallbearers: Tyler Bloyd, Steve Shepard, Kenny Kayes, Mike Bishop, Chris Wilson, and Jackie Grider.


Ronald Wilson, 75, Russell County, KY (1941-2017)


He was born December 1, 1941 in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Hubert A. & Enola Gadberry Wilson. He died Wednesday, May 17, 2017, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 75 years, five months, and 16 days.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Doug Wilson.

Survivors are the following:
  • Wife: Barbara Wilson, Russell Springs, KY

  • Three children: Dwayne (Malissa) Wilson, Russell Springs, KY; Tonya (Oler) Bloyd, Russell Springs, KY; and Tim (Amiee) Wilson, Frankfort, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Amber Short, Tyler Bloyd, Kaylee Bloyd, Riley Bloyd, Abigale Wilson, and Amelia Wilson

  • Three great grandchildren: Lukas Bloyd, Wyatt Short, and Braydin Kempf

  • One sister: Annette (Ron) Lucas, Russell Springs, KY
