Reader has taken phone off hook because of telemarketers Brenda McCoy Harvey writes: I have taken our home phone off service for the present time due to such a large number of telemarketing phone calls. At this time, we have been receiving 5-6 calls each hour. I hate to do this because so many friends and family from years ago only use our home phone number.
