C/AC Economic Development Authority meets Tue 16 May 2017 Sewer project at Green River Commerce Park nearing completion. Next step, Chairman Dykes says, is the Build Ready Pad. 2017-18 tentative EDA Budget projected at over $170,000. Click on headline for complete story By Ed Waggener The Columbia/Adair County Economic Development board met in a 28 minute session this morning, Tuesday, May 16, 2017, with Chairman Mark Dykes presiding. The group approved the financial statement presented by Treasurer Ann Martin, and were presented a working budget for 2017-2018, which the members are to study and be prepared to make amendments at the June meeting. The initial budget estimated an increased balance of $171,592 at the end of June, 2018. But the group is considering upping the budget for the Build Ready Pad at Green River Commerce Park to $40,000 from just under $30,000 and increasing maintenance budget by $2,000. Chairman Dykes reported that the sewer project at Green River Commerce Park is nearing completion. He said that James Garrison, who is working with Darrell Miller on the construction, reported at all the bores are complete and that all that is needed for the sewer to go on line is hooking everything together. With that, he said, the EDA will now focus on construction of a Build Ready Site at the park. Present at the meeting were Chairman Dykes and EDA Board members Roger Meadows, Kenzie Rowe, and Ann Martin. Also present were Adair County Judge Executive Mike Stephens, Deputy Adair CJE Andrea Waggener, and members of the media. This story was posted on 2017-05-16 08:21:06
