Carolyn (Moochie) Taylor, 60 Taylor County, KY (1957-2017)

She had worked in the past as a sales clerk at the Dollar General in Campbellsville where she was loved by all who got to know her as well as working at the Pit Stop where she was known as "Granny". Her husband, Eugene Taylor, with whom she enjoyed riding their Harley Davidson motorcycle, preceded her in death. She leaves 17 direct living descendants, including children in Adair and Taylor Counties, KY

Carolyn (Moochie) Taylor, age 60, of Campbellsville, KY, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017 at her home after an illness.

Funeral services for Caroyln "Moochie" Taylor will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 1pmCT/2pmET, at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home, 503 E Main Street, Campbellsville, KY, with the Rev. Brian Rafferty officiating. Interment will follow in the Brookside Cemetery, 200 Block W Main Street, Campbellsville, KY, with Shane Turner, David Benningfield, Kenny Clark, Jacob Covin, Trent Williams and Nelson Bishop serving as casket bearers. The family request visitation 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, on Friday, May 5, 2017 at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

Moochie was born in Campbellsville, on March 17, 1957. She was the daughter of the late Marie Holmes. She died Thursday, May 4, 2017, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 60 years, one month, and 14 days.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Taylor, with whom she enjoyed riding their Harley Davidson motorcycle. She had worked in the past as a sales clerk at the Dollar General in Campbellsville where she was loved by all who got to know her as well as working at the Pit Stop where she was known as "Granny".

Moochie is survived by:
  • Her children: Richard Allen "Richie" Taylor and his wife, Amy; Christopher Robert Taylor and his wife Donna; Ashley Malone and her husband Donny, all of Campbellsville, KY; Maye Chastain of Columbia, KY; and Anthony Chastain and Roger Dotson

  • Twelve grandchildren

  • Her brothers: Allen Holmes and his wife Sandy of Campbellsville, KY; Jimmy Holmes of Elizabethtown, KY

  • Her sisters: JoAnn Lotter and her husband Harold; Cheryl Blevins and her husband Paul of Louisville, KY

  • And special friends: Shelly Adams Bishop, Lonnie Farmer, John, Harold and Gloria Giles and Anthony Gabehart.

Carolyn requested that memorial contributions be donations to the Elk Horn Baptist Church Youth Group.
