News from Homeplace on Green River

The pavilion to protect the log pen barn at Homeplace on Green River is well on its way to completion.

The log pen was first built in the early 1800s and moved to Homeplace where it was reassembled and will be protected by the pavilion.

The log pen was given to Homeplace by the Ronnie and Gwynette Sullivan family and funding for the pavilion was given by 33 businesses and individuals.

The pavilion will eventually be converted into an enclosed building containing the log pen to showcase historic farm implements.

There is additional information about the log pen project, including the names of donors, at the Homeplace Web page
