She was a retired General Motors employee. She was a native of Salyersville, KY, a former resident of Liberty, KY, and a resident of Lexington, KY, at the time of her death. Her final resting place will be in Casey County, KY. She was the widow of Robert P. Hopkins. She leaves two direct living descendants.

Sue F. Hopkins, age 80, of Lexington, KY formerly of Liberty, KY, passed away on Tuesday April 25, 2017 at Sayre Christian Village Nursing Home.

Graveside services will be held 12pmCT/1pmET, Saturday April 29, 2017 at Glenwood Cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Brown will officiate. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery.



Sue F. Hopkins, 80, Casey County, KY (1936-2017)


She was born in Salyersville, Magoffin County, KY on August 17, 1936. She was a daughter of the late Lee & Eliza Keeton Fannin. She died Tuesday, April 25, 2017, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 80 years, eight months, and eight days.

Sue was a Retired employee of General Motors.

Sue was the widow of Robert P. Hopkins.

Survivors include:
  • One daughter: Bobbi and (Jamie) Morgan of Lexington, KY

  • One grandson: Blake Morgan of Lexington, KY

  • And one sister: Norsie Cantrell of Georgia.

  • Preceding her in death besides her parents and spouse were two brothers, Blake and Jack Fannin and two sisters:, Kathryn May and Virginia Walton.
