Little Leaguer's play in Columbia on ESPN Sportscenter

Watch the video online at ESPN.com.

Carol Shaul writes:
My great nephew, Alex Martin, who is Dustin and Jennifer Martin's 8-year old son, had his play posted on ESPN SportsCenter today, Saturday, April 22, 2017. One of the Top 10 sports plays. They were playing at the ball park in Columbia. It's pretty amazing, we think! He has only pitched for about two weeks.

The batter hit the ball off to his left a little and Alex made a diving catch. This young man eats, breathes and sleeps ball. He plays with heart and soul! ESPN has the video posted on Facebook and Instagram. There have been many, many views. One comment was-"A baby Mickey."

Alex is Dennis and Renee Reeves' Grandson.

Might be on ESPN's SportsCenter. Proud of our little Adair County slugger! --Carol Shaul
