Lula Asberry, 60 of the Pellyton Community in Adair County, KY passed away suddenly Monday, April 17, 2017 the University of KY Medical Center in Lexington, KY

Funeral services will be Friday; April 21, 2107 at 11amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Lindsey Wilson Street, with Bro. David Asberry, the officiating clergy. Interment will be in the Cold Springs Cemetery in Casey County, KY. The family request visiting after 4pmCT, on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY.

She was the daughter of the late Estill & Dorothy Irene Taylor Asberry. She was born December 6, 1956. She died April 17, 2017, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 60 years, four months, and 11 days.

She was preceded in death by a son: Eddie Dewayne Pyles

She is survived by:
  • One daughter: Lavina Michella Pyles of Columbia, KY

  • One son: Scottie Dean Pyles of Columbia, KY

  • Five brothers: Emmitt Asberry of Liberty, KY; Charlie Asberry of Russell Springs, KY; Clinton Asberry of Russell Springs, KY Ronnie Asberry of Columbia, KY; and David Asberry of Columbia, KY

  • Four sisters: Shirley Roark Russell Springs, KY; Lillie Roark of Columbia, KY; Minnie Sue Harrison of Columbia, KY; and Rebecca Brown of Columbia, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Kirsten Pyles, Makatelin Pyles, Scottie Dewayne Pyles, and Willow Heseman
