Charles A. Walters, 76, Russell Co., KY (1940-2017)

He was retired from the Maintence Department at the Russell County Board of Education and was a member of the Jamestown Christian Church. He was the son of the late Jessie (McKinney) & Henry M. Walters and the widower of Winnie Lou Walters. He leave seven direct living descendants.

Charles A. Walters, 76, of Jamestown, KY passed away Friday, April 7, 2017, at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, KY.

Funeral Services for Charles Walters will be at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, at 2pmCT, Sunday, April 9, 2017, with Bro. Jason Walters officiating. Friends may visit after 12pmNoonCT, on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial in the Jamestown City Cemetery, 201 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY.


Charles A. Walters, 76, Russell Co., KY (1940-2017)

He was born in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, September 7, 1940. He was a son of the late Jessie (McKinney) & Henry M. Walters. He died Friday, April 7, 2017, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 76 years, seven months.

He was retired from the Maintence Department at the Russell County Board of Education and was a member of the Jamestown Christian Church. He is survived by:
  • A daughter: Lisa Skeens, of Jamestown, KY

  • A sister: Norine Johns, of Horse Cave, KY

  • Three grandchildren

  • Four great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Winnie Lou Walters; and two brothers, Harold and Obie Walters.
