Kathy was an owner of Emerald Isle Resort and Marina where she got to be around the water and people she loved. Besides the marina, she loved to travel and spend time with family. Her husband, Terry Brown, survives. She leaves 17 direct living descendants.

Kathy S. Brown, age 62, of Campbellsville, KY died Friday, March 31, 2017 at her residence after an illness.

Funeral services for Kathy Sue Brown will be held at 10amCT/11amET, Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home, 503 E Main Street, Campbellsville, KY, with Rev. John Gillespie officiating. Entombment will follow in the Brookside Cemetery Mausoleum, 200 block W Main Street, Campbellsville, KY. Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Reed, John Bubnick, Tristan Reed, Keith Graham, Jerry Hardwick and Cory Reed. The family requests from 4pmCT/5pmET to 7pmCT/8pmET, Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry funeral home.

She was born on August 3, 1954 in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Rufus & Vernice Wilson Hardwick. She died Friday, March 31, 2017, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 62 years, seven months, and 28 days. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Hardwick and a sister, Janice Hardwick.

Kathy was an owner of Emerald Isle Resort and Marina where she got to be around the water and people she loved. Besides the marina, she loved to travel and spend time with family.

She is survived by:
  • Her husband: Terry Brown, Campbellsville, KY

  • Two daughters and three sons and their spouses: Cristy and John Bubnick of Campbellsville, KY; Melissa and Keith Graham of Nicholasville, KY; Chad and Lena Reed of St. Mary's, KY; Corey and Lisa Reed of Campbellsville, KY; and Paul Brown of Ruskin, FL

  • Twelve grandchildren: Tristan and Jaxon Reed, Josh Moon, Sydney, Shelby, Mia and Mason Bubnick, Kirsten Bickett, Macayla and Macy Graham, Abby and Connor Brown

  • One niece: Shanna Hardwick
