Vada Faye Conover Blankenship, 86, Russell Co., KY/Adair native (1931-2017)

She was retired from Fruit of the Loom and member of Bethlehem Separate Baptist Church. She was a native of Adair County, KY, and a resident of Russell County, KY, at the time of her death. She was a member of a large, respected family, the daughter of Fanny Atchley Conover & Edward Nell Conover, and the widow of Ernie Blankenship. She leaves 13 direct living descendants spanning four generations

Vada Faye (Conover) Blankenship, 86, of Russell Springs, KY passed away, Thursday March 23, 2017 at Fair Oaks Health System, Jamestown, KY 42624.

Visitation will be Saturday March 25, 2017 5pm till 9pmCT at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY. Funeral services will be at 1pmCT, Sunday March 26, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Larry Huckaby & Bro. David Coffey officiating. Interment will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery, West Highway 80, Russell Springs, KY.

She was born on Saturday February 07, 1931 in Columbia, Adair County, KY the daughter of daughter of Fanny Atchley Conover & Edward Nell Conover. She died Thursday, March 23, 2017, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 86 years, one month, and 16 days.

She was retired from Fruit of the Loom and member of Bethlehem Separate Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ernie Blankenship; mother, Fanny B. Conover Atchley and father, Edward Nell Conover

She is survived by:
  • Two daughters: Lavon Anderson, Russell Springs, KY; and Lesa Malone and spouse Dale, Russell Springs, KY

  • One son: Todd Blankenship, Russell Springs, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Troy Anderson, Kellie Malone, Tanya Womack and Lois Blankenship

  • Four great-grandchildren

  • Two great-great-grandchildren
