After two straight one out walks Nicholas Lugo put the Grenadiers (15-7) on the board first with a three-run home run. Steven Paredes led off the bottom of the first inning with a single then advanced to second on a balk. Paredes then advanced to third on a ground out. Jackson and Ortiz advanced on a wild pitch then Jackson scored on an Anderson groundout to cut the deficit to 4-1. The Blue Raiders would fail to push another run across after a strikeout and ground out ended the inning.

Clay Benefield singled home a run in the fifth inning to increase the Indiana Southeast lead to 5-1. The Grenadiers added another run on a single and a bases loaded walk to take a 7-1 lead.

Lindsey Wilson put up two runs in the seventh inning aided by four Indiana Southeast wild pitches and one error.
