(7:43amCT - Sat 11 Mar 2017)The Kentucky State Police accident reconstructionist team is still on the scene of a single vehicle fatal accident on Greensburg Road near its intersection with Thompson-Harvey Road in the Milltown community of Adair County, which occurred several hours ago.

Adair County Sheriff Harrison Moss said that traffic is block because darkness would otherwise make the work of the team much more dangerous with traffic flowing.

Sheriff Moss said that he had no further details other that the vehicle is white in color. An official report on the accident will be posted when available from the Kentucky State Police.

Sunday morning, March 12, 2017, one would hardly have realized that this peaceful scene was the site of a tragedy, on the Saturday before when viewed from Thompson-Harvey Road, above, except for police scene yellow tape on the Greensburg Street frontage, left in the photo. A 45-year-old Adair County woman, Alesha Bryant Morrison, was pronounced dead at the scene here on Saturday, March 11, 2017. According to the Kentucky State Police, 52-year-old Samuel Edwards, of Columbia, was operating a northbound 2002 KIA on KY 61 when he lost control of the vehicle and left the shoulder of the roadway, and, the report said, "The vehicle then began to flip, striking the roadway multiple times before striking a tree and coming to final rest in a pond. Edwards and a passenger, 45-year-old Alesha Morrison, of Columbia, were ejected from the vehicle. Morrison was pronounced dead at the scene by the Adair County Coroner. Edwards was airlifted to UK Medical Center and is listed in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing." (KSP story by TFC Billy Gregory - - Ed Waggener
