Camilla L. LaFavers, 87, Russell Co., KY/Adair Co., KY native (1930-2017)

She was the matriarch of of a large, respected South Central Kentucky family. She was the daughter of the late Rosa Luann (Hadley) & Clarence Coffey and the widow of Herbert Blondell LaFavers. She leaves 58 direct living descendants. Her final resting place will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery

Camilla L. LaFavers, 87, of Russell Springs, KY, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at the Fair Oaks Nursing Home, Jamestown, KY.

Funeral Services for Camilla LaFavers will be at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, at 11amCT, Wednesday, March 8, 2017, with Bro. Jeff Aaron officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home 5pm-8pmCT, Tuesday, March 7, 2017. Burial in the Mill Springs National Cemetery, 9044 West Hwy 80, Nancy, KY.

Camilla was born in Columbia, KY, on January 4, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Rosa Luann (Hadley) & Clarence Coffey. She died Saturday, March 4, 2014, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 87 years, two months.

She is survived by:
  • Three sons: Herbert (Katrina) LaFavers, of Louisville, KY; Douglas (Sally) LaFavers, of Bardstown, KY; and Brian LaFavers, of Russell Springs, KY

  • Four daughters: Jeanette (Michael) Wright, of Louisville, KY; Evonne Fox, of Russell Springs, KY; Denise Martinez LaFavers, of Russell Springs, KY; and Jamene Walters, of Jamestown, KY

  • Four sisters: Pauline Grider, Ruth Corea, Beulah Huston, all of IL; and Geneva Booth of Leitchfield, KY

  • Twenty-one grandchildren

  • And 30 great grandchildren also survive
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Herbert Blondell LaFavers, and a brother James Coffey.
