Judith Marie Voils, 76, Russell County, KY (1940-2016)

She was the daughter of the late Lilburn & Mildred Downs Rigby and the widow of Chester Voils. She was the matriarch of a great family, numbering 87 direct living descendants, spanning four generations.

Judy Voils, 76, Russell Springs, KY, departed this life at her home, Tuesday evening, February 28, 2017.

Funeral service 10amCT, Saturday, March 4, 2017, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Billiy Dunbar officiating. Burial will be in the Voils Family Cemetery. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, Friday, March 3, 2017, and after 8amCT, Saturday up until funeral time at 10amCT, at the Bernard Funeral Home in Russell Springs.

Judy Marie Voils, 76, Russell County, KY (1940-2016)

Judy Voils, 76, daughter of the late Lilburn and Mildred Downs Rigby was born in Indianapolis, Marion County, IN, October 30, 1940 and departed this life at her home, in Russell Springs, Russell County, Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at the age of 76 years and four months. In addition to her parens, Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Voils, who died June 4, 2010; and a sister, Beverly Shearer.

She is survived by:
  • Nine children: Eva Jesse, Thomas (Melissa) Voils, Chester Voils, Jr., all of Russell Springs, KY; Crystal (Bryan) Stilts, Greensburg, KY; Teresa Brown, South Carolina; Cynthia Brown, Russell Springs, KY; Doris Brown, Campbellsville, KY; Ernie (Patty) Brown, Indianapolis, IN; and Michael (Lisa) Brown, Indianapolis, IN

  • Two special nieces and caregivers: Pam Brown & Patty Camp

  • Twenty-six grandchildren

  • Fifty-one great grandchildren

  • One great great grandchild
