Casey County man charged with Assault 1st in shooting incident

Altercation occcurred Tue 28 Feb 2017, on Neff Road in Casey County

LIBERTY, KY (Wed 1 Mar 2017) - 21-year-old Marcus A. Bryant, of Liberty, KY, was arrested today at 3amET on Neff Road in Casey County and charged with Assault 1st Degree.

The arrest was the result of an investigation into a shooting that occurred on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at approximately 8:30pmET, where Bryant and 21-year-old Hunter Gillock, of Liberty, had been involved in an altercation.

Gillock sustained a single gunshot wound and was flown to University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington where he remains in stable condition.

Bryant was lodged in the Casey County jail. The investigation is ongoing.
