Helen Miller, 89, of Russell Springs, died Sunday, February 26, 2017 at the Russell County Hospital. She was born October 28, 1927 in Russell County to the late Lloyd & Ollie Holt Smith.

Funeral service for Helen Smith will be at 2pmCT, Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Richard Antle officiating. Visitation will be after 11amCT, Tuesday until funeral time at 2pmCT. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Helen Miller was born October 28, 1927 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd & Ollie Holt Smith. She died Sunday, February 26, 2017, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 89 years, three months, and 29 days. She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eldridge Miller; brother, Harold Smith; and sister, Hulda Bradshaw.

Survivors include:
  • Six children: Joan (Joe) Gaskin, Russell Springs, KY; Joey (Rose) Miller, California, KY; Judy (Larry) Grider, Jamestown, KY; Joseph (Rena) Miller, Russell Springs, KY; Jason (Michelle) Miller, Russell Springs, KY; and Jane Grider, Russell Springs, KY

  • Several grandchildren

  • Several great grandchildren

  • One brother: Hollin Smith, Russell Springs, KY
