She was a retired clerk with the U. S. Corps of Engineers. Her husband of over 60 years, Bruce Milby, survives. She was the daughter of the late Coakley & Nannie White Cox Wood. She leaves four direct living descendants.

There will be a Wake for Jewell F. Milby, 12pm-3pmCT/1pm-4pmET, Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 699 Old Hodgenville Road Greensburg, KY. Burial will be in Cox Cemetery, Elk Horn, KY.

Jewell F. Milby was the daughter of the late Coakley Cox & Nannie White Cox Wood. She was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, July 1, 1937. She died at Thursday, February 16, 2017 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 79 years, seven monthsm and 15 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she served as an deacon.

She was a retired clerk with the U. S. Corps of Engineers.

She united in marriage to Bruce Milby October 21, 1956.

Besides her husband, Bruce Milby of Campbellsville; she is survived by:
  • Two sons: Bryon Milby of Campbellsville, KY; and Steve and Donna Milby of Fuquay-Varina, NC

  • Two granddaughters: Amber Milby and Haley Milby of Fuquay-Varina, NC

  • Two sisters: Norma Jean and David Johnson and Ann and Herald Gaddis of Campbellsville, KY

  • One brother: James and Geraldine Cox of Campbellsville, KY

  • Special friends: Opal Goff and Linda McMahan of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends.
