Judy M. Johnson, 72, Adair Co., KY (1944-2017)

She was a native of Pocahontas, VA and a resident of the Cundiff Community of Adair County, Ky at the time of her death. She was the daughte rof the late Bernard Armstrong & Ruth M. Royal, and the widow of David W. Johnson. She leaves 18 direct living descendants, including her only daughter, Ruth Hadley of Adair County, KY.

Judy M. Johnson, 72 of the Cundiff Community of Adair Co. KY passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 7:19pmCT, at her home after a brief illness.

Funeral service: Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 1pmCT/2pmET, at the Mynatt Funeral Home 4131 E. Emory Road Knoxville, TN. Officiating will be Pastor and friend Bro. Tim Day. Visiting will begin at the funeral home after 11amCT/12pmNoonET, on Sunday until the funeral hour. Burial in the Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Powell, TN.



Pallbearers: Lewayne Armstrong, William Longley, David Johnson III, Joseph Harrion, and William Ware.

She was born April 30, 1944 in Pocahontas, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Bernard Armstrong & Ruth M. Royal. She died Wednesday, February 15, 2017, in Cundiff, Adair County, Ky, Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at the age of 72 years, nine months, and 16 days.

Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband David W. Johnson in 2014.

She is survived by
  • One daughter: Ruth Hadley of Columbia, KY

  • One son: Wayne Johnson of Knoxville, TN

  • Six grandchildren

  • Ten great grandchildren

  • Three brothers: Bobby Armstrong, Tommy Armstrong, and Jerry Armstrong

  • Two sisters: Debbie Sundstrom and Brenda Altamirano
