Harold Atwood, age 77, of Liberty, KY passed away on Wednesday February 15, 2017, at his residence.

Memorial Services will be held 11amCT/12pmET, Saturday February 25, 2017 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY, with Rev. Keith Nichols officiating. Visitation will be held 10amCT/11amET, Saturday February 25, 2017 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation Rites were honored by Bartle Funeral Home.

He was born in Liberty, Casey County, KY on March 28, 1939 a son of the late William and Ethel Mae Coffman Atwood. He died Wednesday, February 15, 2017 in Liberty, Casey County, KY. Harold was a Retired School Bus Driver with the Casey County School System and a retired farmer.

Survivors include:
  • His spouse: Jo Ann Atwood

  • One son: Stewart and (Katy) Atwood of Georgetown, KY

  • Three Grandchildren: Lucy and Jack Wilson and Scout Atwood
Preceding him in death besides his parents were five brothers: Elmer Lee Atwood, William Atwood, Dee Atwood, Hershel Atwood and Merle Atwood and two sisters: Thelma Samples and Ina Brayden.
