James H. (Jimmy) Heathman, II, Russell Co., KY (1924-2017)

He was in the U.S. Navy in WW II and a retired engineer. He was a member of the Jamestown United Methodist Church. He was a native of Ashland City, TN, and and resident of Jamestown, KY, at the time of his death. He as a son of the late Lillian Ann (Russell) and James H. Heathman, I, and the widower of Lillian Foley Heathman. He leaves 14 direct living descendants.

James H. (Jimmy) Heathman, II, 93 of Jamestown, KY passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at the Fair Oaks Health Systems in Jamestown, KY.

Funeral Services for James H (Jimmy) Heathman, II will be Friday, February 17, 2017, 10amCT, at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY with Bro. Ed Partin officiating. Friends may visit after 5pmCT on Thursday, February 16, 2017, at the funeral home. Burial in the Jamestown Cemetery, 201 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, with full Military Honors by the Russell County Honor Guard.

He was born in Ashland City, Cheatham County, TN, on January 3, 1924. He was a son of the late Lillian Ann (Russell) and James H. Heathman, I. He died Tuesday, February 14, 2017, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 93 years, one month, and 11 days.

He was in the U.S. Navy in WW II and a retired engineer. He was a member of the Jamestown United Methodist Church.


Survivors include:
  • Two sons: James H. (Judy) Heathman, III, of Jamestown, KY; and Brad (Shelia) Heathman, of Jamestown, KY

  • Three daughters Jenny Heathman, of Jamestown, KY; Ginger (David) Smith, of Russell Springs, KY; and Patricia (Greg) Curry, of Columbia, KY

  • Five grandchildren

  • Four great grandchildren

  • Special friend: Eva Bogey, of Jamestown, KY

    He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Lillian (Foley) Heathman, two sisters Jean Quam, Madonna Phillips, a brother Ed Heathman, and a grandson Jeremy Heathman.

    Send condolences to the family of James H. (Jimmy) Heathman II The family request memorial donations to the Jamestown United Methodist Church or Hospice of Lake Cumberland and can be made at the funeral home.

    The H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
