Four vehicles involved in Marion Co. injury collision Operator of Chevy truck and Dodge van transported to Springview Hospital for treatment; operator of Ford Fusion and of 1997 Ford fire truck not injured. Click on headline for complete story By TFC William Gregory, Public Information Officer News from Kentucky State Police 15, Columbia, KY LEBANON, KY (Sun 12 Feb 2017) - Tpr. Chase Willis is investigating a collision that occurred today at 1:45pmET, on KY 527, 1 mile south of Loretto. 43-year-old Steven Edlin, of Loretto, was operating a northbound Chevy truck on KY 527 when he attempted to pass a 1997 Ford fire truck that was stopped in the road behind a 2007 Ford Fusion that had stopped in the southbound lane to turn left. Edlin's vehicle pulled into the path of a southbound 2002 Dodge van operated by 72-year-old Gary Hawkins, of St. Francis. The Chevy collided with the Dodge and then struck the firetruck and Ford Fusion before leaving the right side of the roadway. Edlin and Hawkins were both transported to Springview Hospital and treated for non life threatening injuries. 63-year-old Brenda Raley, of St. Francis, was operating the Ford Fusion and was not injured. The operator of the firetruck, 27-year-old Jonathan Riggs, of Loretto, was not injured. Tpr. Willis was assisted at the scene by the Marion County Sheriff's department, EMS and the Loretto Fire Department. This story was posted on 2017-02-12 19:31:07
