Kendall Harvey, 82, Adair County, KY (1934-2017)

Mr. Harvey was a faithful member of the Columbia First Church of the Nazarene, which he helped build. He was a carpenter, owning H & H Building Contractors for many years. He made life for all better with his friendship and kindness. He had an extraordinary wit and humor, reflected in his perfect delivery of countless stories. But most of all, he left his mark in his exemplary walk in the Christian faith. He was a highly talented inventor, a builder and craftsman of unparalleled skill. Few have, or will ever, exceed his ability to see a need, provide the solution, yet have no thought of public gratitude, shunning much well-deserved attention. He was a member of a great Adair County family, the son of the late Finis Albert & Ethel Mitchum Harvey. His wife, Cecile Hill Harvey, survives. He leaves 23 direct living descendants to carry on his legacy.
