High School freshmen learn about preparing for college Campbellsville High School freshmen are learning how they should prepare for college.

Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority Outreach Counselor Audrey Price, standing, above, recently came to CHS to talk to freshmen about what they should be doing now to prepare for their academic careers when they graduate.

Price said students should be thinking about making and keeping good grades, along with being involved at school and in their community. Both look good on college applications, Price said.

CHS freshmen learned they are already accruing KEES money to help them pay for college, but they must score good grades - in high school and college - to keep it.

Price told the freshmen that some colleges match KEES scholarships, and students can also receive money for their high ACT scores.

She told students that she and CHS College and Career Readiness Counselor Angie Travis will work with them throughout their high school career to learn about various colleges and universities, and how to apply for scholarships to help pay for their education.

For more information about applying to attend college, contact Travis at 270-465-8774.
