He worked for many years trimming trees for various companies, and was a longtime farmer. He was a native of Cumberland County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Erbie & Thelma White Farlee and the widower of Wilma Groce Farlee. He leaves 17 direct living descendants.

William Sandy Farlee age 68 of Burkesville, KY passed away on Wednesday, February 01, 2017 at Cumberland County Hospital, Burkesville, KY.

Funeral Service will be at 2pmCT, Saturday, February 04, 2017 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in the Bunch-Farlee Cemetery. The family requests visitation after 4pmCT on Friday, February 03, 2017 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home




William Sandy Farlee, 68, Burkesville, KY (1949-2017)


Sandy was born January 14,1949, in Cumberland County, KY. He was the son of the late Erbie & Thelma White Farlee. He died in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, on February 01, 2017, at the age of 68 years, 18 days.

He worked for many years trimming trees for various companies, and was a longtime farmer.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Wilma Groce Farlee, and three siblings, Arnold Farlee, Louise Vibbert, and Shirley Lauderdale.

Survivors include:
  • One daughter- Vickie (and Rex) England of Burkesville, KY

  • Two sons: Sammy (and Donna) Farlee and Billy Farlee all of Burkesville, KY

  • One brother: Tom Farlee of Burkesville, KY

  • One sister: Margaret Stilts of Burkesville, KY

  • Twelve grandchildren: Samantha England, Chasity England, Brittany Farlee, Joseph Farlee, Jordan Sweeney, Zack Farlee, Caleb Farlee, Cameron Farlee, Cassidy Farlee, Sarah Harper, Michelle Edwards, and Christie Jewell

  • Two great grandchildren: Mallee England, and Cason Melton
