LWC Swim teams compete at MSC Championships From Matthew Wurzburger Lindsey Wilson Men's and Women's Swimming teams compete at MSC Championships, which start at 9amCT/10amET, Thursday, February 2, and Friday, February 13, 2017 and at 8amCT/9amET, Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Kingsport Aquatic Center1820 Meadowview Parkway, Kingsport, TN 37660. Lindsey Wilson is one of seven schools vying for conference supremacy. Joining them is Bethel (TN), Campbellsville (KY), Life (GA), Lindenwood-Belleville (IL), Loyola (LA) and host school Cumberlands (KY). Action begins at 9CT/10amET on both Thursday and Friday with preliminary heats. Final heats begin at 4:30pmCT/5:30pmET on both days. The championships' final day begins with preliminaries at 8amCT/9amET. Saturday's final heats start at 4pmCT/5pmET. Both the Lindsey Wilson men's and women's team concluded their regular seasons with victories over Transylvania (KY) on Jan. 14. Last season, the Blue Raider men finished third out of six teams at the conference championships. Three competitors - Jonas Mueller, Iker Larzabal and Clemens Paetzold - collected All Mid-South Conference honors in at least one event. Mueller earned First Team All MSC distinctions in the 100-meter breaststroke and 200-meter breaststroke by virtue of placing first in both events. The Lindsey Wilson women's team was runner up at last year's conference meet - finishing second out of seven teams. Six Blue Raiders received All MSC conference honors at the championships. Ronni Borders and Laura Stephenson were both named First Team All MSC in four events. Elena Nikolaeva received three First Team All MSC nods while Bailey Seitz was named First Team All MSC twice.
