Adair Co. Grand Jury returns indictments 24 Jan 2017

Charges brought against 15 individuals from Columbia and Louisville, KY. Charges include theft, assault, trafficking, DUI, possession, and wanton endangerment.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

The Adair County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Columbia, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Tuesday, 24 January 2017:

  • Patrick Tyler Stapleton (07/28/1997), Magnolia Dr., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00002. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Theft by unlawful taking over $500 but under $10,000.

  • Brian Fair (07/21/1995), E. Hwy. 80, Columbia, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00003. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Theft by unlawful taking over $500 but under $10,000. Bail set at $2,500c/p. Arraignment Feb. 14, 2017 at 1pmCT.

  • William G. Hobaugh, III (01/29/1988), Little Cake Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00004. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Unlawful imprisonment, 1st degree. Count 2 - Wanton endangerment, 1st degree. Count 3 - Assault, 2nd degree. Count 4 - Terroristic threatening, 3rd degree. Bail set at $100,000 cash. Arraignment Feb. 14, 2017 at 1pmCT.

  • Michael Miller (03/15/1979), Keltnertown Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00005. Charged with 5 counts. Count 1 - Operating a motor vehicle while license revoked or suspended. Count 2 - Failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, 1st offense. Count 3 - Possession of a firearm by convicted felon. Count 4 - Assault, 2nd degree Count 5 - Wanton endangerment, 1st degree. Bail set at $10,000 cash. Arraignment Feb. 14, 2017 at 1pmCT.

  • Robert D. Redmon (11/08/1951), Old Glensfork Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00006. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, 10+DU Hydromorphone. Bail set at $10,000 cash. Arraignment Feb. 14, 2017 at 1pmCT.

  • Christopher A. York (07/01/1978), W. Jefferson St., Louisville, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00008. Charged with 5 counts. Count 1 - Drug paraphernalia buy/possess. Count 2 - Trafficking in marijuana, less than 8oz, 1st offense. Count 3 - Trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, 2g+ methamphetamine. Count 4 - Trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, <10DU. Count 5 - Operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, 1st offense. Bail set at $15,000 cash. Arraignment Feb. 14, 2017 at 1pmCT.

  • Veola Luttrell (08/30/1990), W. Sulphur Creek Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00009. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Wanton endangerment, 1st degree. Count 2 - Assault, 4th degree. Bail set at $5,000c/p. Arraignment Feb. 14, 2017 at 1pmCT.

  • William J. Rucker (11/08/1988), Leatherwood Church Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00010. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a firearm by convicted felon. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 2nd degree. Bail set at $5,000 cash. Arraignment Feb. 14, 2017 at 1pmCT.

  • Jason Dick (09/11/1980), Ingram Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00011. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Theft by unlawful taking over $500 but under $10,000. Bail set at $2,500c/p. Arraignment Feb. 14, 2017 at 1pmCT.

  • Jennifer Murray (05/18/1976), Pelham Branch Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00012. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Burglary, 2nd degree. Count 2 - Theft by unlawful taking over $500 but under $10,000. Bail set at $5,000c/p. Arraignment Feb. 14, 2017 at 1pmCT.

  • Jaclyn L. Bland (01/07/1980), Walters Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00014. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (2g+ methamphetamine). Count 2 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine). Count 3 - Possession of controlled substances no in original container, 1st degree. Count 4 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Bail set at $20,000 cash. Arraignment Feb. 14, 2017 at 1pmCT.

  • Bradley R. Burton (03/17/1977), Fairview Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00015. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, .08 aggravator, 4th offense. Count 2 - Operating motor vehicle while license revoked or suspended for driving under influence, aggravating circumstance. Bail set at $5,000c/p. Arraignment Feb. 14, 2017 at 1pmCT.

  • Mathew Burton (10/25/1996), Appleby Dr., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00016. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Assault, 3rd degree, corrections officer. Bail set at $5,000c/p. Arraignment Feb. 14, 2017 at 1pmCT.
