Mr. Melvin Douglas (Doug) Martin, Taylor Co., KY (1930-2017) Mr. Martin professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Green River Memorial Baptist Church. He was veteran of the Korean conflict and served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. Mr. Martin was a distinguished farmer and conservationist and had received many local, state, and national commendations and awards for his dedication to agriculture and conservation education. He was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the American Legion, a member of Pitman Masonic Lodge No. 124 F & A. M., and a charter member of the Taylor County Fair Board. His wife of 65 years Reba Allen Martin, survives. He leaves 16 direct living descendants. Mr. Martin professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Green River Memorial Baptist Church.
