Mrs. Doris Leslie Rattliff Rodgers, 83, Taylor Co. KY/Green native (1933-2017)

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the St. Mark United Methodist Church in Campbellsville. She was a retired Human Resource Assistant Manager for Ingersoll Rand, and Owner and Operator of the former Green River Classics. She was a member of a prominent South Central Kentucky family. She was the daughter of the late James W. Rattliff and Estell Dobson Rattliff. Her husband, Judge Garnett "J.G." Rodgers, Jr, survives. She leaves seven direct living descendants.

Mrs. Doris Leslie Rattliff Rodgers, 83, of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late James W. Rattliff and Estell Dobson Rattliff, was born on August 28, 1933 in Green County, KY and departed this life on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at her home. She was 83 years, 4 months, and 17 days of age.

The funeral services for Mrs. Doris Rattliff Rodgers will be conducted at 2pmCT/3pmET, Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the St. Mark United Methodist Church, 400 Meader Street, Campbellsville, KY in Campbellsville with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old U.S. 68, Campbellsville, KY.. Bro. Tony Franklin, Bro. William Herndon officiating. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is requested after 9:30amCT/11:30amET, Tuesday at the St. Mark United Methodist Church until time of the funeral service.


Pallbearers: Brian Rattliff, Steve Cox, William Lewis Rattliff, John Rattliff, Jason Rattliff, James Ralph Rattliff, and Matt Rattliff

Honorary pallbearers: Cameron Rattliff, Justin Rattliff, Elijah Rattliff, Kevin Thompson, Alex Thompson, Shawn Milby, and Levi Rattliff

Mrs. Doris Leslie Rattliff Rodgers of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late James W. Rattliff and Estell Dobson Rattliff, was born on August 28, 1933 in Green County, KY and departed this life on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at her home. She was 83 years, 4 months, and 17 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the St. Mark United Methodist Church in Campbellsville. She was a retired Human Resource Assistant Manager for Ingersoll Rand, and Owner and Operator of the former Green River Classics.

Survived by her husband Judge Garnett "J.G." Rodgers, Jr. of Campbellsville, KY.

Other survivors include:
  • A daughter: Jennifer Rodgers of Glasgow, KY

  • Two sons and daughters-in-law: Mark and Lisa Rodgers of Campbellsville, KY; and Randy and Jane Rodgers of London, KY

  • A brother: J.W. Rattliff of Greensburg, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Marcus Rodgers and his wife, Mary Kate of Campbellsville, KY; Kayla Rodgers of Campbellsville, KY; and Aaron Rodgers and James Rodgers both of London, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
Mrs. Rodgers was also preceded in death by a sister: Will Rattliff Cox; four brothers: Wes Rattliff, Herman Rattliff, Vernon Rattliff, and Ronnie Rattliff.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the KY Methodist Children's Home, Hosparus of Green River, or the St. Mark United Methodist Church, which can be made at the funeral home or the church.
