Mrs. Montgomery had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Methodist Faith. She was a retired school teacher and was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. She was a native of Green County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Fred Montgomery and Mattie Belle Perry Montgomery, and the widow of Henry E. Johnson.

Mrs. Gladys Montgomery Johnson, 81, departed this life Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.

The funeral service for Mrs. Gladys Montgomery Johnson will be at 9amCT, Monday, January 16, 2017, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, Greensburg, KY. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, Sunday, January 15, 2017, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers: Alan Montgomery, Patrick Ferguson, Bobby Montgomery, Mike Montgomery, Donnie Joe Perry, Phillip Burkett, and John Montgomery.

Honorary pallbearers: Kenneth Hay, Jim Reecer, Ed Montgomery, Steve Slinker, Jim Perry, and Danny Perry

Mrs. Gladys Montgomery Johnson was born June 29, 1935 in Green County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Fred Montgomery and Mattie Belle Perry Montgomery. She departed this life Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 81 years, six months and 13 days.

Mrs. Montgomery had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Methodist Faith. She was a retired school teacher and was a member of the Retired Teachers Association.

Besides her parents, she Is preceded in death by her husband Henry E. Johnson.

She is survived by:
  • Two brothers and one sister-in-law: William E. Montgomery of Taylor County, KY; and James and Karen Montgomery of Campbellsville, KY

  • One sister and brother-in-law: Carol Sue and Gary Ferguson of Greensburg, KY<
