She will be fondly remembered by thousands of customers as a waitress at the "old" Circle R restaurant in Columbia, KY. She was a member of a popular Adair County, KY, family, the daughter of the late Henry & Beulah Bragg Compton, and the sister of Flois Helen, wife of James L. "Cotton" Sneed.

Wanda Carol Compton, 65, of Columbia, KY, died Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 1:31pmCT, at the home of her sister.

THe funeral service for Wanda Carol Compton will be Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 10amCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. B.J. Huff officiating. Burial will be in Interment in the Antioch Cemetery, by Antioch United Methodist Church, 3422 Wheeler Hill Road, Sparksville, KY Visitation will be after 4:30pmCT, Friday, January 13, 2016.



Wanda Carol Compton, 65, Adair County, KY (1951-2017)

She was born Sunday, April 29, 1951. She was the daughter of the late Henry & Beulah Bragg Compton. She died Wednesday, January 11, 2017, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the agge of 65 years, eight months, and 13 days.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Melinda Sue McAllister.

She was a waitress at the "old" Circle R Restaurant for many years.

She is survived by:
  • Her sister and brother-in-law: Flois Helen and James L. "Cotton" Sneed of Columbia, KY

  • Several other relatives and friends
