Alice Marie Collins died at 11:15amET, Tuesday, January 10, 2017 in Campbellsville, KY. She was 100 years old.

The funeral service will be at 10amCT/11amET, Friday, January 13, 2017, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY.officiated by Rev. Neil Salvaterra. Visitation will be from 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.




Alice Marie Collins, 100, Campbellsville, KY (1916-2017)


Alice Marie Collins of Campbellsville, formerly of Penn Hills, PA, daughter of the late Andrew Fonas and Katherine Kundrak Fonas, was born September 18, 1916, in Jamestown, New York. She died at 11:15amET, Tuesday, January 10, 2017 in Campbellsville, at the age of 100.

She professed faith in Christ and attended First United Methodist Church.

Alice was a retired sales clerk with Kaufman's Department Store in Monroeville, PA.

She united in marriage to John Collins, Sr. in 1939 and he preceded her in death June 26, 1986.

She is survived:
  • Four sons: John Francis Collins, Jr. and wife, Jean of Campbellsville, KY; Ret. Col. William Allen Collins and wife, Judy of San Diego, CA; Thomas Matthew Collins of Orange Park, FL; and Joseph Michael Collins and wife, Betty of North Kingston, RI

  • Six grandchildren: Doug Collins and wife, Sue of Pennsylvania; John Collins, III and wife, Pam of Alabama; Melissa Porter and husband, Rob, Will Collins and wife, Carolyn and Allyson Gobler and husband, Alex of California ; and Katy Finkenzeler and husband, Mike of Massachusetts

  • Twelve great-grandchildren: Clay Collins, Morgan Collins, Logan Collins, Jessica Collins, Liam Porter, Zoe Porter, Alice Gobler, Violet Gobler, Daisy Gobler, Eli Finkenzeler, Molly Collins and Olive Collins

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

    Alice was also preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.

    The family requests expressions of sympathy be donations to Gideon Bibles and may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
