She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Meadow Hill Baptist Church in Louisville, KY. She was also a former school bus driver for the Jefferson County Public Schools. Her husband of 60 years, Floyd Haywood Marr, survives.

Mrs. Barbara Jean Marr, 79, of Greensburg, KY, formerly of Louisville, KY, departed this life on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at her home in Greensburg, KY.

The funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Jean Marr will be conducted at 11amCT, Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Bro. Steve Carney officiating. Visitation is requested from 3pm until 8pmCT, Tuesday, January 3, 2016, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT Wednesday until time of the funeral service.

Mrs. Barbara Jean Marr, Green Co., KY (1937-2017)


Mrs. Barbara Jean Marr of Greensburg, KY, formerly of Louisville, daughter of the late Lewis Young Price and Carrie Thomas Johnson Price, was born on August 7, 1937 in Green County, KY and departed this life on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at her home. She was 79 years, four months and 25 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Meadow Hill Baptist Church in Louisville, KY. She was also a former school bus driver for the Jefferson County Public Schools.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Floyd Haywood Marr, Greensburg, KY, having united in marriage on April 12, 1956.

Other survivors include:
  • A sister: Frances Money of Summersville, KY

  • Two brothers and sisters-in-law: Billy Wayne and Louise Price of Summersville, KY; and Johnnie Robert and Sallie Price of Louisville, KY

  • Nieces and nephews: Sheila Williamson, Sharon Milby, and Shirley K. Bale, Kevin Price, and Josh Price

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
