Special ColumbiaMagazine.com story The Adair County Indians improved to 13-1 overall - the best record in the Fifth Region - this season with a 79-50 win over Green County HS (9-4) in the championship game of the Campbellsville Holiday Classic. In addition to defeating Green in the title game, the Indiana also beat Monroe County 74-49 and the defending 12th region champion, Mercer County 82-64. Kel Stotts was named tournament MVP averaging 20.6 points per game while shooting over 50% from the field. Cameron Lasley, Chance Melton and Corey Melton were also named to the All Tournament Team. COACH DERON BREEZE'S COMMENTS: 3 wins in 3 days. It prepares us for late February and if fortunate enough to play in March, then as well. We were able to focus on each team and execute scouting reports to perfection. If we learn to box out and hold them before rebounding we will be a hard out. We still have a lot of loose ends to tie up. Small ones but a lot of them. - Coach BreezeNext: Adair County Indians Boys Basketball at Thomas Nelson High School, 2885 New Shepherdsville Road, Bardstown, KY, at 7:30pmCT/8:30pmET, Tue 3 Jan 2016.
