Santa came to our house on Christmas Eve By Linda Waggener It is the quiet and magic of this night, of Christmas Eve, that stays in my memory. Mama and Daddy worked so hard to help us have a wonderful time. I can close my eyes now and see the imperfect cedar tree in the front windows glowing with soft multi-colored lights, smell its wonderful scent. I remember how we were dispatched with Dad to pick up the grandparents and bring them to our house for supper while Mama finished meal preparations. And I remember how, magically, every single time we disappeared for that short time Santa would visit and we'd be wildly excited to find packages under tree -- and Santa would have just left. I wish all children that magic, tonight, Christmas morning, always. This story was posted on 2016-12-24 22:02:44
