He died Monday, December 21, 2016, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 81 years, two months, and eight days. Also, preceding him in death was a son, David Richard French, a brother, Bobby French, a half sister, Mildred Shuffett and a nephew, David Ford.
