Russell County Sheriff's Department makes arrest in rape case Russell County Sheriff's Department Jamestown, KY - An investigation by Sheriff Clete McAninch has resulted in the arrest of a Russell County man on a charge of Rape 1st Degree. Aaron Scott Irvin, 37, of Russell Springs was taken into custody Tuesday by authorities in Warren County. Irvin was transported back to Russell County and lodged in the local jail. The investigation is continuing. Note: An individual charged by police or in a warrant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.
