Deer Hunter death investigation underway in Metcalfe Co., KY

KSP Post 15 investigating shooting incident on Cedar Flat Road, Edmonton, KY. At the scene, 1/2 mile off roadway, law enforcement locates 35-year-old hunter with a single gunshot wound to the head. KY Fish & Wildlife Ofc. Jared Ervin is investigating. No foul play is suspected.

EDMONTON, KY. (Mon 28 Nov 2016) - KSP Post 15 received a call on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at approximately 8:14amCT, in reference to a shooting incident on Cedar Flat Road in Metcalfe County.

Kentucky Fish & Wildlife Officers and Kentucky State Troopers responded to the scene along with the Metcalfe County Coroner.



35-year-old Herbert N. Lattin, of Edmonton, KY, was located approximately 1/2 mile off the roadway, in a wooded area, with a single gunshot wound to the head.

No foul play is suspected. Mr. Lattin was apparently deer hunting from an elevated stand when the accident occurred.

Fish & Wildlife officer Jared Ervin is investigating.
