Tom Andrew, 86, Adair County, KY (1930-2016)

He was a member of the Columbia First Church of the Nazarene, a US Army Korean War veteran, a lifelong member of the Disabled American Veterans and an electrician for many years. He was a native of Creelsboro, KY, and a resident of Columbia, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Adolphus and Allie Spencer Andrew. He was the widower of Dolly Grant Andrew, his wife of 60 years. He leaves three direct living descendants.

Tom Andrew age 86 of Columbia, KY. passed away Saturday November 19, 2016 at 4:06 am at his home after several months illness.

Funeral service: Monday, November 21, 2016 at 10amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. Pastor Tom Legg and Pastor Brian Fudge will officiate. Interment in the Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY, will full military honors presented by the Columbia VFW Post 6097. The family request visiting after 4pmCT, on Sunday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

He was born in Creelsboro, Russell County, KY, on January 21, 1930 the son of the late Adolphus and Allie Spencer Andrew. He passed away Saturday November 19, 2016, at his home in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 86 years, nine months, and 29 days..

Mr. Andrew was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Dolly Grant Andrew on March 28, 2010, he was also preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters

He is survived by the following:
  • One daughter: Connie M. Devore and husband Lonnie of Columbia, KY

  • One grandson: Nick Devore of Columbia, KY

  • One granddaughter: Nicole Legg and husband Derek of Gradyville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • A host of other relatives and friends
He was a member of the Columbia First Church of the Nazarene, a US Army Korean War veteran, a lifelong member of the Disabled American Veterans and an electrician for many years.
