He was a native of Cumberland County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Russell Rich & Claudine Spears Key, and the widower of Lorinda Scott Key. He leaves three direct living descendants.

Funeral Service Sunday, November 20, 2016 at 1pmCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Scott Cemetery. Family requests visitation on Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 1pmCT until 9pmCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.



Eddie Cecil Key, 77, Burkesville, KY (1939-2016)


Eddie Cecil was born on January 15, 1939 in Cumberland County, KY. He was the son of to the late Russell Rich and Claudine Spears Key. He died Thursday, November 17, 2016, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 77 years, 10 months, and two days.

He was a retired employee of Navistar(formerly International Harvester) and had served in the United States Army.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Lorinda Scott Key.

Survivors include:
  • One son: John Key and his wife Courtney of Burkesville, KY

  • Three sisters: Anna Ruth Adams and her husband Tommy of Indianapolis, IN; Sue Kuhnlein and her husband Steve of Brownsburg, IN; and Brenda Rhine and her husband Rod of Louisville, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Kade Russell Key and Levi Owen Key both of Burkesville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • and a host of other relatives and friends
