Brief lockdown at LWC on reports of gunshots in parking lot If you have information regarding this crime please contact Public Safety at 270-384-8106 or the Columbia City Police at 911. LWC received a report of gun shots fired in the campus parking lot of McCandless and Horton Halls Friday evening. Campus officials promptly reported the alert on the college app and social media accounts. Students were urged to remain indoors until the situation was resolved. School officials lifted the lockdown at 8:18pmCT. Law enforcement and school officials are reporting the campus is safe. Dean of Students Chris Schmidt says there are no reported injuries. The shooter has not been identified The incident is still under investigation and school officials are cooperating with law enforcement. More information will be released as details become available.
